Exacq Technologies has just released Exacq Data Acquisition Linux Tools v1.07, a software release that provides drivers, applications and programming tools needed to use the new Exacq Data Acquisition Boards under Linux.

With the on-board DSP and on-board RAM common to all Exacq hardware, the Exacq DAQ boards bring absolute real-time operation; fast, simultaneous inputs and outputs; DSP capability; and extensive software tools for the Linux operating system, all at a groundbreaking low price, important for cost-sensitive OEM applications.

Linux Distribution Requirements
The Exacq Data Acquisition Linux Tools require an Intel Linux distribution based on a v2.4.x kernel with module and proc file system support, and any v2.4.x-based distribution should be compatible.

Open Source
The kernel modules of the Exacq Data Acquisition Linux Tools are fully Open Source to allow easy compilation and adaptation to various kernel versions.

Availability
The Exacq Data Acquisition Linux Tools release is provided at no extra charge as a standard part of every Exacq data acquisition board and is available now for immediate download. Existing Exacq users can download the new Linux Tools from the ExacqDAQ Downloads page.

Changes in Version 1.07
The major changes in this latest Version 1.07 release are fixes to the Analog Output as well as issues on the CM/XM boards. The Analog Output upload speed as been increased. ExacqDAQ Linux Driver Version 1.07 is in sync with ExacqDAQ Windows Driver Version 1.8.2
